The objective of this class is to instill confidence and a sense of fun in performing agility obstacles in short sequences and courses.
  • This program places a fundamental emphasis on the handler keeping the dog's attention at all times.  While sequencing is important in the program, the design of this instruction asks for the dog's attention first, pushing forward only when the dog is giving that attention.
  • This program also emphasizes the following training concepts: Focussing on a quiet release by the handler. Handling manoeuvres:  short sequences teach the handler how to handle the dog more confidently.
  • The dog will be encouraged to work away from the handler .
  • Motivators used are toy, treats and targets.

This class builds on equipment knowledge - proofing obstacles
